Including those that were previously available and are still on sale, sorted by price from low to high. For doubling traffic, please refer to the section on [Doubling Traffic]. For data center selection, please refer to the section on [Data Center Related].
Click to view all RackNerd special VPS packages
After the VPS is activated, check the root password and the account name and password for the control panel:
Open the email log, in the email titled KVM VPS Login Information.
If the IP is blocked upon startup, you can request a free change within 72 hours after purchase (no billing will be generated).
Self-service IPv4 change: Go to the user backend, click on the VPS that needs to be changed, and there is an option "Change IP" on the left. Click it and follow the instructions. The system will generate a one-time bill of $3, and after payment, the system will automatically change the IP.
Note: If there is a ticket in OPEN status, the change IP button will be unavailable, and you must first close the ticket.
Doubling Traffic#
- After purchasing, you can currently double the VPS traffic.
Reply to a specific post in the LET (lowendtalk) forum (the post address is not fixed and will be updated):

Just reply with your order number. You can also use the template:
Hello, I would like to double the bandwidth.
Order: Check the 10-digit number in the email
Thanks!
(Order Number can be found here: Email log (View Email Log) URL https://my.racknerd.com/clientarea.php?action=emails, the email title contains the 10-digit number)
Note: If you don't have a LET account, you can register one. You need to fill in a reason for registration (in English, such as to exchange and learn about VPS information). You will need to verify your email and wait for the LET administrator to review your registration information. You can only use the account to reply after approval.
Note 1: If you bought a machine earlier and missed the doubling traffic opportunity, you can try using the renewal invoice number (no guarantee of success).
Note 2: Doubling processing takes time, usually one to two days, but three to five days or longer is also normal.
- If you run out of traffic, the VPS will be suspended that month, and traffic will reset on the 1st of each month in Pacific Time.
Data Center Related#
1: Data Center Introduction#
Currently, RN mainly sells CC data centers in the US, MC data centers, and the Strasbourg data center in France.
CC Data Center (full name ColoCrossing): Locations include San Jose, Seattle, New Jersey, Chicago, Dallas, etc., currently does not support IPV6. The IPs have basically been blacklisted by Google again, and verification will pop up during searches (Updated 2023.06.30: Currently, the IPs do not trigger Google verification again, but it is unknown how long this will last).
MC Data Center (full name Multacom Corporation): Only Los Angeles DC02, IPs will not trigger Google verification, and there is also IPv6 available upon request (up to 100, recommended 1-5).
Strasbourg Data Center: Located in Strasbourg, France. A newly launched data center by RN, currently has relatively sufficient resources and is not crowded, with prices slightly higher than CC and MC. Supports IPV6, and requests can be made (up to 100, recommended 1-5).
Network test addresses for each data center: https://lg-lax02.racknerd.com/
Currently, it is generally recommended to prioritize Los Angeles DC02. San Jose, which previously had decent network performance, has been congested for some time but is currently slightly better (do not choose San Jose for mobile). If you want a less crowded and less popular data center, consider those options. This is just my personal view; ultimately, choose based on your own needs and actual test results.
Note: To solve the Google verification issue during peak times, you can use the one-click script WARP:
wget -N https://gitlab.com/fscarmen/warp/-/raw/main/menu.sh && bash menu.sh
(This project address: https://gitlab.com/fscarmen/warp.git)
2: Data Center Migration#
If you purchased with multiple data center options, you can submit a ticket to request migration to one of the options available at the time (generally one migration opportunity, so be cautious). If you purchased with a fixed data center, it may cost $5. Some low-priced packages (<$10) are difficult to migrate. Additionally, migrating from other data centers to Los Angeles DC02 is also challenging or may incur a $5 fee (there are both successful and unsuccessful cases, subject to the ticket results).
You can say in the ticket: "The line is not good, I request to change the data center, please help me migrate this VPS to XX."
Note: The IP will change after migration, and data may be lost, so make sure to back up. The doubled traffic may also be lost. (You can reply in the ticket: "I previously commented on the LET forum, and the traffic has been doubled to 2xT. Now the traffic has reverted to xT, can I request to adjust it back to 2xT?")
Change Email / Push#
1. Change Email#
Currently, you can submit a ticket to request a free email change.
Before Black Friday, you could submit a ticket for a free email change, but during Black Friday, due to too many requests, it became an $8 fee. Currently, accounts without Black Friday flash sale chickens can change emails for free, while those with Black Friday flash sale chickens will incur an $8 email change fee (final results are subject to the ticket).
2. Push#
The push fee is $8 per request, submit a ticket to push.
The push fee is calculated per request, not per machine. For example, if Account A has 4 machines and wants to push 2 of them to Account B, the fee is $8, not $16.
